No lie, this song is just about weed. I’d love to say it’s deeper than that and for the sake of press releases before our album, I probably will. But to our true fans reading this, you know me. I’ve been smoking. I guess the deeper element is how much I’ve been influenced by Parliament Funkadelic in the three years since our last album. The genius that the Mothership brought is found in pretty much all music that has it followed it. ‘Elevate’ is no exception.
